We've finally had nice enough weather for me to make a video showing how to plant the seedballs! Hooray for warm weather!

You guys! I'm so excited! A couple parents sent me photos of their kids' artwork. These are drawings made by some students after watchingyesterday's video.

Both of these students put some time and effort in to their work!

Springtime means seed planting! This is a video about one of my favorite seed planting methods; seed balls!

Some of the sound got cut off in the video, sorry! What I said was that it's a good idea to use seeds with similar growing requirements. In the video I made seedballs and used carrot, spinach, lettuce, and radish seeds. Those plants all like cooler temperatures and a little bit of shade.

I constantly remind my kiddos to be brave in their artmaking. I encourage them to try new things. Well, today I took my own advice; I made a short instructional video. I wasn't completely pleased with it, and was about to delete the whole thing. But you know what? This video, imperfect as it is, is good enough.

I will be doing some more of these during the school closure. I want all my students to be brave and try new things.

I wish I had taken a clearer photo of this cute cardboard person. The second grader that created it worked painstakingly on painting it just so.

These little sock friends were made by some first graders, just before school closed. They all have their own features and personalities, just like their designers!
